The Pride Center at Equality Park will officially open its new no-cost Sexual Health Clinic on July 2, expanding access to HIV prevention and sexual healthcare services across South Florida.
The clinic will offer rapid HIV testing, STI screening and treatment, PrEP and PEP services, laboratory testing, and assistance accessing medications. Services are available regardless of insurance status or ability to pay.
The Pride Center will celebrate the clinic's opening with a public ribbon-cutting ceremony on Thursday, July 2, at 12:30 p.m. at its campus, 2040 N. Dixie Highway in Wilton Manors. The event will include remarks from CEO Robert Boo and Director of Clinical & Wellness Services Danny Sprouse, as well as tours of the new facility.
For Boo, the new clinic is deeply personal. Boo recently shared that he learned he was HIV positive 23 years ago and remembers being treated with compassion and dignity by his healthcare team.
"That experience changed me," Boo wrote in a message to supporters. "I want every person who walks through our doors to receive that same level of care and compassion."
The clinic is part of Wellness at The Center, an integrated health initiative that also includes behavioral health services, care navigation, community outreach, and holistic wellness programming.
Officials say the goal is to create a judgment-free environment where people can discuss their sexual health openly and receive comprehensive care and support.
The clinic will offer drop-in hours on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 12:30 to 7:30 p.m. and Saturdays from noon to 4 p.m. Appointments are encouraged and can be made by calling 954-463-9005 ext. 209 or emailing wellness@pridecenterflorida.org.

Equality PAC Backs Shevrin Jones for Congress
State Sen. Shevrin Jones picked up a major endorsement from Equality PAC, the political arm of the Congressional LGBTQ Equality Caucus.
“State Senator Shev Jones has dedicated his career to fighting for working families, expanding economic opportunity, and ensuring that every Floridian has a voice in their government,” the organization said in announcing its endorsement.
Jones, who announced his candidacy earlier this month, is seeking the Democratic nomination in Florida's 24th Congressional District, an open seat being vacated by retiring Congresswoman Frederica Wilson.
“Having Equality PAC by our side in this race means more to me than words can capture,” Jones was quoted as saying in the statement. “I am honored, energized, and more committed than ever to making sure every voice in our district is heard and represented.”
Born and raised in Miami Gardens, Jones served in the Florida House before becoming the state's first openly LGBTQ state senator in 2020. If elected, he would become Florida's first openly LGBTQ member of Congress and the only LGBTQ member of Congress from the Deep South.
Jones faces a growing Democratic primary field that includes Kendrick Meek Jr., son of former Congressman Kendrick Meek and grandson of former Congresswoman Carrie Meek. The primary is scheduled for Aug. 18.
