City Keeps Parking Options Open

Some type of change is coming to Wilton Manors parking program. What it will entail is becoming increasingly clear.
But who will run it? That’s still an open question.
The city’s contract with Lanier Parking expires this month, but during the Feb. 24 meeting, commissioners voted to extend the contract on a month-to-month basis. The city is accepting bids from other companies but no new deal will be in place before the current contract ends.
Any new contract will likely bring the parking company’s office to vacant space in city hall, saving about $35,000 that’s being spent for Lanier’s off-site office. The colourful rainbow meters lining Wilton Drive are likely to go soon as well. They often malfunction and condensation inside the screen can make it difficult to see if and how much you paid.
The meters would be replaced with parking kiosks similar to the kind you see at the Hagen Park/City Hall and Richardson Park lots.
Lanier has a mixed track record with the city, including an extremely critical report from the Broward Office of the Inspector General.

The Art of a Weekday Happy Hour Reset at Del Mar
|
At the end of a recent school day that I spent lecturing all day during my high school classes, I was done pretending I didn’t need a reset. So, it made me very excited that my close friend Mariana and I had been invited to enjoy and try out Del Mar Fort Lauderdale’s happy hour menu. And it did not disappoint.

Handsome Scout (ID 712610) does not want to spend any more time in the shelter.
He's ready for a family to adopt him and love him for life! This affectionate guy is 7 years old and 60 pounds. He shows how much he appreciates his walks by making that tail go a million miles an hour. He loves being outside, rolling in the grass, enjoying the sun, and exploring. He will show you how well he does with his commands, but usually only if a treat is involved. He's no fool. He also loves being scratched all over. Scout will wiggle and rub up against you like a cat. He is selective with other dogs, so a dog meet is mandatory. Since he was a transfer from another shelter, his past is a mystery. He seems to get excited when he sees a cat, so a feline free home might be best.

WANING GIBBOUS MOON IN LIBRA: Grounding a new beginning.
You may feel the urge to move forward while sensing that something essential hasn’t fully settled yet. In career or finances, curiosity is drawing you toward a new direction, but impatience or uncertainty around timing could lead you to underestimate what’s required to build lasting stability. Slow, deliberate learning matters more than bold leaps right now. In love, moving closer to someone asks for steadiness and presence, not proof through endurance. Growth comes from tending what’s already in your hands with care, allowing confidence to form naturally rather than forcing intimacy before you’re ready.
