New Charging Stations In City
By John Hayden

The atmosphere is electric around city hall, specifically in the parking lot. Wilton Manors debuted ten new charging stations for electric cars. They sit in the back corner of the parking lot at city hall.
“We’re looking forward to the future,” Mayor Scott Newton said during the dedication ceremony. “This changes the way we’re looking at Wilton Manors. It’s about fresh air, clean air. This is where it starts.”
With ten spots, EVgo says this is the largest charging area they have in Florida. They accommodate all electric vehicles on the market except for Tesla.
Human Resources Director Dio Sanchez spearheaded the initiative, which included EVgo, FPL, and the city commission signing off.
These stations are much faster than the old charging station at the front of the city hall lot. Those spaces will eventually transition back into standard parking spots.
People charging their car will not need to pay additional parking fees. However you can’t leave your car there for hours on end or overnight.
While there will be a grace period during the rollout, eventually traffic enforcement will start ticketing charged cars after a couple of hours.

Sweet Carmen (ID 709305) deserves a second chance.
Can you be the one to give her the loving home she deserves? Carmen is only 2 years old and was found wandering the streets hungry and neglected. It’s clear she was used for breeding and then dumped, and no dog deserves that. She’s been in the shelter now for over two months and can be scared and shy in her kennel, but once you get to know her, her true personality shines. Carmen loves people and absolutely lights up when she gets pets and attention. She may take a moment to warm up, but when she does, she’s affectionate and happy to be by your side. She loves to run and play and could go forever with a big smile on her face. She walks well on a leash, appears to be housetrained, comes when called, and gets along well with other dogs. She’s had several playgroups and especially loved her day at the water park, where she made lots of canine friends and had what was probably her best day ever. Carmen is ready to leave her past behind and find a forever home filled with love, safety, and kindness. Please come meet this sweet girl, you won't be disappointed. Her friends at @Pet_HealthWorks have kindly covered her adoption fee, and she gets to go home with goodies for her tummy and teeth.

WAXING CRESCENT MOON IN PISCES: Choosing with heart and intention.
This week invites you to explore new possibilities while listening closely to what feels emotionally true. In your professional life, curiosity and creative spark are returning, but forward motion now asks for commitment rather than endless exploration. In relationships, a meaningful choice is coming into focus as confusion begins to lift. In both arenas, honesty—especially with yourself—becomes the bridge to a deeper connection with your inner vision, softening rigid thinking and allowing intuition to guide what logic alone cannot resolve. You may not have all the answers yet, but you are building the courage to move in alignment with the path that feels right.
