Oink, oink — Wilton Manors is about to get filthy.
From Nov. 28 to Dec. 7, thousands of self-proclaimed pigs will flood Wilton Manors for the 11th annual Pig Week, 10 full days of sweat, squeals, and celebration.
With nearly 60 events spread across clubs, pools, and play spaces, there’s no shortage of opportunities to get a little … muddy.
Pig Week has grown into a beast of its own — according to organizers, it’s the largest event of its kind anywhere in the world. With more than 90 international attendees flying in so far, it’s become a global destination in its own right.
Looks like some pigs really do fly.
But the fun doesn’t just make hearts race — it pumps serious cash into the local economy.
Co-owner Chad Bush estimates the event brings in close to $5 million annually, giving the local area quite the boost.
“Everybody in the community takes part,” Bush said. “I am really proud of that.”
Each event has its own price. There is also an event-long registration for $350. Visit pigweek.com for more information.

The situation is bleak and, with the arrival of the holidays, only getting bleaker. Food insecurity is rising in America and, according to some reports, is about as bad as it was during the Great Recession of 2008-2010.

Calling all cat lovers…can I go home with you?
My name is Benji (ID 708284) and I’m a handsome, 5-year-old, brown tiger kitty with expressive, golden eyes. I have quickly become a shelter favorite with the staff and volunteers. I’m a playful, curious fellow, who likes to snuggle under a blanket and chase feathers and balls. I might tell you stories by meowing and will purr to let you know I’m happy. I’m a fan of treats, and my former owner said I’m good with other cats and dogs. Thanks to #9 Sam Bennett of the Florida Panthers, he has kindly paid my adoption fee. Every time Sam scores a goal, another pet at the Humane Society of Broward County benefits.

WAXING CRESCENT MOON IN CAPRICORN: Opening to growth through grounded ambition.
This week invites you to release tight grip and allow space for new opportunity. Professionally, loosening control brings fresh ideas or promising news — something small but meaningful that can grow if nurtured. In relationships, vulnerability may feel risky, yet lowering your guard allows genuine connection to take root. Capricorn’s steady moon supports long-term vision: lay foundations without fear of change. What begins humbly now has the potential to mature into lasting stability and abundance. Trust the process, invest in what matters, and let openness — not rigidity — guide the way forward.
