Craig Jungwirth Plea Deal Vacated

By John Hayden

After accepting a plea deal on misdemeanor charges just last week, Craig Jungwirth is rejecting one of the terms of the deal.

The judge in the case vacated the sentence and held him over for trial in March, according to one of his victims.

The victim was not in court last week, and was able to read his victim impact statement on Jan. 23. He also asked for a lifetime ban on Jungwirth contacting him or his family.

We’re told Jungwirth balked at the idea. OutSFL has spoken with the victim and this is from his perspective.

The decision and documents have not been updated on the court’s website. The victim is happy with the decision and hopes that a jury will find him guilty and the judge will impose the social media ban. If he were to violate a ban, the judge could hold him in contempt. These charges are mostly harassment via electronic communication.

Jungwirth is facing a separate trial on a felony charge.
