There’s a new thirst trap on Wilton Drive.
Thirsty’s On the Drive has opened in the heart of Wilton Manors. The juice and smoothie bar boasts creative mocktails such as a Cran-Apple Sangria and the Autumn Fizz.
While the cool refreshers are great to grab as you stroll down The Drive, they’re also sweet treats with a purpose.
“We’re a healthy cafe. We specialize in products that are zero sugar, and high protein. Everything we have is formulated for weight loss and weight management,” owner Kei Phillips said.
Thirsty’s, which is the sister store to Fort Lauderdale Nutrition on Oakland Park Blvd., is an aspirational/lifestyle business. Their offerings include pre and post workout shots, protein bars, fat reduction shots and more.
They’re very different kinds of “shots” than the ones most bars serve. Phillips and his team talk new customers through their unique offerings.
“We talk about the micronutrients that are in the cups. How much protein, carbs, and sugar are going to be involved.”
Phillips had a similar business in Mississippi before finding Wilton Manors.
“A friend of mine brought me here two years ago. When I experienced The Drive I knew that’s where I was gonna live.”
His favorite menu selections are the mocktails, specifically The Bloody Mary. Most popular with customers are the shakes, with more than 200 flavor combinations.
