The pristine white walls seamlessly flow into the marble floor. The exhibition space feels like a living canvas, ready to host art that is lucky enough to be put on display.
Matteo Trisolini opened his Space Untitled art gallery at 2422 N. Dixie Highway in Wilton Manors on Aug. 2. A long-time artist, his creative side has been dormant for more than a decade. With Untitled, he returns to showcase not only his work, but the work of unknown artists.
“I feel super lucky that I’ve been able to open this Space Untitled. Not just for me, as I come back to art, but also to give back to the community. One of the goals of the Space Untitled gallery is to offer free residency programs to the underprivileged LGBTQIA arts community.”
The night started with a pink carpet leading to a ribbon cutting with several elected Wilton Manors officials there cheering him on.
“The idea of coming back after 13 years of silence, this is a dream come true,” Trisolini said with scissors in hand.
Afterward, supporters packed the gallery, sipping prosecco and dining on light bites from Union Kitchen across the street.
The opening exhibition at the multimedia gallery sets the LGBTQ tone with beautiful photos lining the walls.
Trisolini plans to hold classes as well as monthly events.
