Here Are the Winners of Your Choice Awards
The time has come to announce the winners of Your Choice Awards of 2023!
A few months ago we asked our readers to vote for their favorite restaurants, people, hangouts, and charities — from your favorite burgers and desserts to the Best guesthouse, business and realtor. We received more than 21,000 votes in more than 100 categories.
First you nominated your favorites in each category with the top 5, then moved onto the finals.
The contest is divided up by county, giving our readers in Palm Beach County, Miami-Dade, and Key West a chance to vote for their local favorites and to showcase LGBTQ friendly establishments outside of Broward County and the Wilton Manors area.
Remember folks these are your opinions — not ours. Don’t agree with the winners? Then make sure to vote in next year’s contest. Only one vote per email address, per day was counted.
Due to the large number of categories we’re unable to print all the stories in the magazine. Advertisers were given priority. But you can still view them all online at outsfl.com/yca2023. A special thanks to Grieco Ford for sponsoring this year’s contest.
So without any further ado, here are this year’s winners......

Ronnie Larsen lives and breathes theater.
He’s been a producer for most of his life, as well as acting, directing, and playwriting. He is the founder and artistic director of Plays of Wilton, an LGBTQ arts production organization. Larsen also runs the Foundry, where Plays of Wilton puts on their performances.
Larsen is originally from Bakersfield, California and moved to New York to attend acting school. He has toured the country doing theater. Larsen lived abroad in Mexico for several years with his husband and visits frequently to spend time with his husband’s family.
“Their values are a lot less material,” Larsen said. “It’s more about being together as a family. As long as there's food on the table, everybody's happy. I just found Mexico to be a very freeing, inspiring place.”
When the holiday season closes, Plays of Wilton has a whole new slate of plays to bring to the community, including "A Shonda," "PrEP'd" and "Lesbian Love Octagon."
