Hunters and Alibi Host Huge Halloween Parties TonightBy John Hayden

Wicked Manors’ Little Drive of Horrors will stretch from the DQ down to the Manor Complex and Five Points. But the spookiest parts will be in the middle of the party at Alibi Plaza.
This is the 10th iteration of Wicked Manors, and the ninth time Hunters Nightclub has been a presenting sponsor. They do more than just write a (very generous) check. Their party spills out into the street… or at least the parking lot!
Hunters will have their massive LED board and a big stage in their part of the parking lot. Will Calder, long one of South Florida’s leading DJs, will be spinning. He’ll be joined by six gogo dancers and headliner Tameko Star of Livin’ Joy, whose hits include Don’t Stop Movin, Dreamer, and Something Beautiful.
The inside club will be open, but they’ll have six bartenders manning the 45 feet of bar space outside as well.
For Hunters, it’s more than a big night. They see it as a duty to the community.
“We are here only because of our community,” Hunters Bruce Howe said. “Our role, as long as our community will let us, is for us to be there for them.”
Across the way at Georgie’s Alibi Monkey Bar, they’ll be celebrating on their new patio and more.
They’re holding their annual Halloween Under the Stars Party in the parking lot and all their outdoor spaces. Outside will have a dance floor with a DJ spinning hot music, as well as drag performances and their costume contest.

As the resident manager of luxury apartment community, Metropolitan, Glenda Dominguez spends a lot of her time at her home away from home -- Wilton Manors.
She has become an integral part of Metropolitan since joining in 2016, advocating for the company's belief that "love is love" by spearheading activities and initiatives that support LGBTQ efforts and foster an inclusive and welcoming environment. This includes participating in important community events like Stonewall Pride.
“We try to do at least one big event every three months, something like paella night, something for Halloween, a big event for Thanksgiving," Dominguez said. "We do believe that our residents are like our family, because we spend more time [here at work] than in our home." When she’s not at Metropolitan, she enjoys spending time with her teenage son, dancing, and going to the beach. She was born and raised in Havana, Cuba and moved with her family to Houston, Texas when she was 11. They lived in Houston for one year before moving to South Florida
“In the beginning it was shocking, because it's a new culture, it's a new everything,” Dominguez said about moving to the U.S. “I was a child, so I was happy where I was. It was rough but then I got used to it. And then you get used to a new life, new friends, new country.” -- Mary Rasura
