Take Our Survey on the Future of the Wilton Manors Police Dept.
By John Hayden & Jason Parsley
|
|
|
Wilton Manors’ police department is facing major staffing shortages; nearly a third of sworn officer positions are open and more possibly on the way.
Many are leaving for better pay and cheaper living in Palm Beach County.
Fixing the problems will take lots of time and lots of money.
OutSFL is asking you, our readers, to voice your thoughts on WMPD. Residents and non-residents are asked to take the survey.
Later this month, the city and union will have another negotiating session and city commissioners will set the property tax rate ceiling.

Adorable…that is the best way to describe 13-week-old Roxy. This gorgeous tiger-striped gal, along with her siblings, were found in a tree at the shelter. Someone had left them in a bag at the shelter when the facility was closed. They all escaped and climbed the biggest tree on the property. Luckily, they were all rescued and happy to be inside getting lots of TLC. Roxy would love a tree, a cat tree that is, to climb and lots of toys to play with. Can she be part of your family?
